Narrative Assignment My narrative piece is a close up of a light bulb. I achieved this by rolling a paper to get the far away affect. The narrative I put behind this pieces is a person sort of spying in on another person’s conversation. I think my photo could be interpreted in many ways, which is why I think this is a successful photo.

Narrative Photo Series Article This is a great example of a narrative photo. By Mendonsa, they set up a beautiful photo that captures so much love and hope. At this time if was very dark and destructive, but this photo represents hope for a brighter future. It tells a story of a solider coming home to his wife/ girlfriend. They are finally reunited  with a kiss and a powerful photograph.Narrative photos like this make the viewer feel emotion which is always the goal of art.

What Does Your Self Portrait Say About You? The above portrait is by Andy Warhol, this photograph can be perceived in many ways depending on the viewer. He could be seem as “crazy” or “ genius” in this photo, but this photo shows more than that. It shows how Warhol wants to be perceived, how others see him, and most importantly how he understands himself. You don’t have to be a famous artist to find all of these answers ANYONE can find these ideas through taking self portraits. It is important to do so, to keep a record of yourself. Many photographers document the world around them but fail to document themselves. Therefore it is necessary  to take portraits of yourself and others.
