Photo Sketch #8 Alone I feel that this photo shows loneliness mostly in the lighting and perspective. Something Blue The sky is blue most of the time but I wanted to add a cool reflection of a lamp in the window. Two Desteny and Bane are TWO peas in a pod! Off Center The building is off center in this photo. I think it makes the photo much more interesting than in the middle.

Photo Sketch #7 Mix This photo is mixed because the lava lamp that my sister, Becca, is looking at mixes wax with oil. (At least I think that’s what happens) Corner This is the corner of my room, very artsy. Habit My cat has habit of sitting in my sister’s window to look at birds and cars.:) Pattern The pattern in this photo is the beads in the center of a fake flower in my mom’s room.

Photo Cards Week 2 This photograph was originally going to be an advertisement for a lava lamp that I have but tragically my mom knocked it over this morning so it broke. But, I still like the photos that turned out! I used Pixlr to double expose a photo, I edited in an alien to this tv. This is my photo of something I would be doing outside but inside. I don’t actually tan because I’m pale, but I thought it would be a funny photo.( These sun glasses are broken btw)

Portrait Photography My Digital Photos: Non-Candid This is Desteny ( you know her). She let me take picture of her at her house. The whole reason I wanted to get the photos at her house was because her bangs matched her wall exactly! Non-Candid Desteny, again, I love this photo because it’s comical! She loves minions so I just ha dot inject that into her portrait. Because I feel that portraits should be about the person in them not just to look at. Candid This is my brother, Michael, you will probably see him at Flowery Branch next year! He really didn’t want his photo taken but I told he he had to.:) I think this a successful photograph because of the lines specifically in the background. The wall makes the photo more interesting and makes Michael’s face stand out more and become the center of attention. Candid This is my other sibling, Rebecca. Narrative Assignment My narrative piece is a close up of a light bulb. I achieved this by rolling a paper to get the far away affect. The narrative I put behind this pieces is a person sort of spying in on another person’s conversation. I think my photo could be interpreted in many ways, which is why I think this is a successful photo.

Narrative Photo Series Article This is a great example of a narrative photo. By Mendonsa, they set up a beautiful photo that captures so much love and hope. At this time if was very dark and destructive, but this photo represents hope for a brighter future. It tells a story of a solider coming home to his wife/ girlfriend. They are finally reunited  with a kiss and a powerful photograph.Narrative photos like this make the viewer feel emotion which is always the goal of art.

What Does Your Self Portrait Say About You? The above portrait is by Andy Warhol, this photograph can be perceived in many ways depending on the viewer. He could be seem as “crazy” or “ genius” in this photo, but this photo shows more than that. It shows how Warhol wants to be perceived, how others see him, and most importantly how he understands himself. You don’t have to be a famous artist to find all of these answers ANYONE can find these ideas through taking self portraits. It is important to do so, to keep a record of yourself. Many photographers document the world around them but fail to document themselves. Therefore it is necessary  to take portraits of yourself and others.
